Year 2 – Forming and Enriched Heart: The Confirmation Rite

We are just a few days away from the celebration of the Sacrament of Confirmation. I invite you to revisit the Rite of Confirmation from Decision Point, a Confirmation Preparation online recourse created by Mathew Kelly’s Dynamic Catholic team. I believe a quick review of the rite will help you prepare for the rehearsal and ultimately for your Confirmation day!

As a reminder, here are just a few things you should be aware of Rehearsals and Reconciliation.

Rehearsals – Candidate and Sponsors (or parents) attend one. Check-in is in the Narthex.

  • Sunday, October 18, 2-3:30 pm
  • Friday, October 23, 7-8:30 pm

Please let your sponsor know which rehearsal you are attending! I have had a couple of sponsor’s comment that they don’t know when they are coming to rehearsal yet. Please let them know, keep them in the loop. Parents are welcome to attend and also receive the information in addition to the sponsor. If the sponsor is not able to attend, one of the candidate’s parents needs to attend and you can relay the information.

Reconciliation – The opportunity to celebrate the Sacrament of Reconciliation is getting tighter! It is highly recommended that you are in a state of grace to receive the Sacrament. Get to Reconciliation this week if you have not been yet in the last month. Our priests would love to help you prepare for this Confirmation by washing your spiritual slate clean. Reconciliation is offered at SPC –

  • Saturday, 9-10 am (in the chapel)
  • Saturday, 2:30-3:30 pm (in the chapel)
  • Wednesday, 7:30 am (in the chapel)
  • Anytime by appointment

No get outside and enjoy the weather!
